  1. ahhh, I'm such a huge Tom Robbins fan its so great to see all of my favorites on your list!!! I actually got to meet him last year at a book signing in Minneapolis and he was soooo awesome and witty, exactly like his writing. If you like Beer, make sure to check out "B is for Beer", or even if you don't like beer it's still an adorable story, he describes it as a children's book for adults and an adult book for children.

  4. Aimee, I'm so glad you happened on to this page--check out some of my favorite yoga books, many of them I read during teacher training. :)

I taught high school English for 11 years. Now I'm sort of like an administrator, and I teach teachers. :)

  5. Will do, LJ!
I wonder if I would like teaching high school. I would teach French if I got a teaching certificate. My pursuits up 'til now have been artistic/odd jobs and I'm feeling the need for a proper income now.

  7. Thanks for sharing your list LJ. I woke up this morning at 4 am with a need to find peace with myself. Your yoga list should be a good start. I would like to read about the art to fully understand it before engaging in it. I live in Miami also, would you mind sharing good places to go for yoga? I kind of want something more private where I can really focus being alone with my thoughts.

    Thanks,

    JJ

  8. Hi JJ! Thanks so much for sharing. Glad you enjoyed my list! Where in Miami are you? Private one-on-one classes cost a lot, but you can go to big classes, as well, and still have that kind of alone time if you're really present on your mat. Green Monkey has 3 studios--Sobe, South Miami, and Midtown. Prana in Coral Gables is where I did my teacher training, and it's also excellent. Finally, check out http://www.jasonlawner.com/--he's one of my best friends and an amazing teacher. Now that I'm getting ready to buy a car again, I'll be better able to follow him around town for his classes! :)

Hope that helps. Feel free to email me if you have more specific questions.

    xoxo,
    LJ
